Madison County (Jackson) runs its own program through the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department, Environmental Health Section, phone 731-423-3020.
Published fees: septic permit $500, which includes the inspection, repair inspection $100, modification $500, inspection letter $200, certificate of verification $100. Subdivision reviews are priced per lot. The schedule is headed July 2018 and was reposted in June 2023, so confirm the numbers when you call.
Fees are paid in full before any work and are not refundable. The office takes cash, money orders, business checks and cards with a 3% surcharge. Personal checks are not accepted.
